I'm sorry for not blogging recently. I've been pretty busy getting back into the groove of things at the office, and as it turns out, I got sick in the process.
I hate being sick. I sound like an old, scruffy announcer for a salsa commercial. At least I now work for a company where I can take a sick day if needed. Which is exactly what I did. I spent some time campaigning, but not a lot. Then I went to see if I could get the car inspected. After stopping by one shop with a downed telephone connection, one place that had run out of stickers, and one place where the inspector took the day off, I finally got in to an inspection shop. Only now to find that my insurance had expired. -.-; I stopped by Walgreens on the way home and got a sackful of cold meds and when I got home, I took some more NyQuil and slept until late afternoon.
When I got up, I found the new insurance and got the inspection done. D made dinner: grilled cheese and vegetable beef soup. I guess I was rough to sleep with, but she takes good care of me when I'm sick. x.X We spent the evening together, watching her play Final Fantasy 8. She got to the last disc.
Only a day and a half left of work for me until we're hitting the road for El Paso. Never thought I'd see the day when I'm actually looking forward to going there, but I haven't been out of town in years...
