Excuses, excuses...

The past few days have been very busy at work. The other half of our largest client made the cut-over to Cisco Unified Messaging: all new phones, all new system, all new learning curve. And we're not talking about a handful of users here - hundreds of users of all levels of technical expertise just got tossed into a brand new environment. "Bonkers" doesn't quite do it, but it comes pretty close. Not only have I had my first 100% billable day ever, and had two of them in a row.

And the fun doesn't stop at work! Oh no, the poo flies at home, too! Literally. Last night, during potty-training, Clara decided to get up of the potty, sit on the carpet and loose 5 pounds. She then proceeded to smear it into the carpet with her hands and butt. -.- I guess I'd been looking for an excuse to go buy a carpet shampooer... I ran out to WalMart and picked up a relatively decent one. It wasn't the cheapest one on the shelf: it has two rollers and a water heater built-in. Took all of 10mins to put together. While I was out getting it and putting it together, D picked up the living room. All in all, it was a good 2-3 hours after I got home before I could actually jut sit down and relax, but at least the living room looks nicer. If we're gonna eventually get a nice TV, the entertainment center is going downstairs, the kids' stuff is going upstairs into the loft and the living room will need to stay clean anyway.

Hard to believe, but the weekend is already almost here...
